Few pairings feel as natural as art and stone — one is shaped by the artist’s hand, the other by the Earth. Together, they strike up an unforgettable dialogue, where human creativity meets nature’s design.
On September 24, Texas Counter Fitters will host Art for a Cause, a special evening of art and philanthropy with interior designer Donna Moss and Beckett Graham Homes. Contemporary works, curated by Julia Ross and Robin Moore of ArtVia Design, will be displayed against natural stone slabs — canvases millions of years in the making.
“Texas Counter Fitters was the perfect venue for Art for a Cause,” said Moss.
“The fact that they pair art with stone is really important for people to visualize how both will look in their homes.”
The result is more than an exhibition; it’s an immersive encounter between artistry and geology, where fine art is heightened by the elemental beauty of its backdrop. It’s also a night of purpose: 50% of all proceeds directly benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Guests will enjoy an inspiring collection of works from a roster of internationally collected artists, according to Ross. “Every purchase is a powerful act of generosity. Much more than art on the wall, it’s a direct contribution to the fight against childhood cancer and life-threatening diseases.”
For TCF owner Chris Blackburn, hosting an event like Art for a Cause gives his showroom purpose beyond design. “It’s an opportunity to bring the community together, celebrate creativity and support causes that truly matter.”
