October is National Kitchen and Bath Month, and to kick it off, we wanted to share about an incredible kitchen and bath collaboration we were honored to be a part of recently.
As the Texas North Plains Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association looked for opportunities within the community to put their industry expertise to use, the group was presented with a need and opportunity to help Exodus Ministries. Exodus Ministries is a local not-for-profit that provides an intensive, comprehensive, residential discipleship program for formerly incarcerated mothers reuniting with their children.
Exodus Ministries has apartments for the women in their program, and one unit needed some remodeling and renovations. Utilizing their contacts and resources, vendors, contractors, designers, and industry partners all came together to re-do a kitchen and bathroom in one of Exodus Ministries’ apartments.
So, the collaboration with Exodus Ministries began! Various vendors donated every single product used for the remodel. And, of course, a central component of a kitchen and bathroom renovation is countertops! Former NKBA Board president, Jennifer Wiley with J Wiley Designs, helped with the coordination of the projects and knew Texas Counter Fitters would be on board to help!

We’re so glad Jennifer called on us! We were thrilled to provide the new countertops for the kitchen and bathroom renovation to benefit Exodus Ministries.
We hope that as Exodus Ministries gives these women the “Freedom to Flourish” by providing a safe place to live and tools for success, an updated (and beautiful) kitchen and bathroom add a little encouragement as they do the hard work to change their destiny!
