We love what we do at Texas Counter Fitters– providing customers with the most outstanding experience in stone selection, fabrication, and installation. We love creating unique and beautiful projects using natural rocks and engineered stone. But we also truly love that we can find ways to do what we do every day AND give back to the community!
One of our favorite community partnerships is with Dwell with Dignity. Dwell with Dignity designs and installs complete home interiors for families who desperately need an environment that will support health and wellness. This organization partners with local social service agencies to take families from homelessness and poverty to self-sufficiency. What’s not to love about helping people have the stability, comfort, and pride needed to change the course of their lives?!
“It’s amazing how far some of these families have come,” says Chris Blackburn, Texas Counter Fitters owner. “Dwell with Dignity’s clients – the children they serve – do not have a place to sleep, and many do not even have a home to call their own. They’ve never had a bed, and that’s what they think is normal. But we know every child deserves a home and a bed!”
This year, Texas Counter Fitters is proud to be the Invitation Sponsor for Dwell with Dignity’s ThriftStudio event. A fundraiser like no other, this pop-up shop provides financial viability for Dwell with Dignity by selling amazing furniture, housewares, accessories, and high-end designer finds to the public. Not only are we proud to be a sponsor, but we also assist with the donated items being sold. This year a local partner had several bases available. We were thrilled to be able to provide gorgeous natural stone tops for these bases that can then be sold at the ThriftStudio event to benefit Dwell with Dignity’s mission.
ThriftStudio is truly remarkable and has become a highly anticipated and can’t-miss event for supporters, the interior design community, and the general public. This year, the pop-up shop will run April 2 – May 2. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm at The International on Turtle Creek – 150 Turtle Creek Blvd, Suite 209A, Dallas, TX 75207.
