Why do you use Texas Counter Fitters for your projects?
I’ve known Andrew since before he started Texas Counter Fitters. From there, it just made sense to keep doing business with him. They’re able to get to all my jobs, handle any pricing selections with my customers and get me and my customers’ jobs done from start to finish! They handle ALL of my countertops for ALL types of jobs!
What do you tell people to expect when you send them to Texas Counter Fitters?
I trust Texas Counter Fitters with all my customers. I hand-hold them through the entire building process (whether that’s a custom build or a renovation), and together we come up with a budget for stone. I turn my customers over to Texas Counter Fitters with their budget and drawings. From there, they get to visit the showroom and yard and pick their selections.
With Texas Counter Fitters, my customers are always able to get what they want. When they pick out their slabs, there’s such a wide variety of stone selection that it’s never a problem to find them a slab that fits exactly what they were hoping for. And I completely trust that the staff at Texas Counter Fitters to take great care of them and hold their hand through the entire stone selection process!
What trends are you seeing with natural stone in your projects?
Right now, everybody wants the white and grey combos. The Cambria stone is very popular. My favorite is when people trend away from the typical whites and greys. I love encouraging customers to think outside the box and consider unique and different stones for their project.
Where do you enjoy using natural stone in your projects?
Of course, at the top of everyone’s list are kitchen and bathroom countertops. But I also really like to use natural stone on window sills, shower ledges, shower thresholds, and soap dishes. In general, it’s great to use in wet spaces.
Not only does Kenny use Texas Counter Fitters for all of his customers at Kenneth Graham Construction, but when it came time to build his own personal home, he knew where to go.
Share about the process of picking stone for your personal home-
I reserved my slabs a year in advance before I even started my house. One day Andrew texted me a picture saying, “Look at these cool slabs from Patagonia.'” I knew right then that’s what I wanted for my house. I texted him back and asked him to reserve 3 of those for me!
What’s a unique use of stone in a home that you’ve seen? Or do you have a favorite project?
The first one that comes to mind is a really cool backsplash that was just installed last week. It has such a cool design to it, so it’s not just one slab on the backsplash. The curves and definition are just neat.
Another project that stands out is personal. It’s my kitchen island. The stone is so unique, with a lot of different colors and variations in that one slab. It’s actually two separate islands, with one being built on an iron base that can seat eight people as a stand-alone table.
We appreciate Kenny trusting us with his customers and look forward to working together to make so many more Pinterest dream boards come to life for his customers!
