Porcelain
Porcelain is made of highly refined clay, talc, and ground sand, making it less water absorbent than comparable materials and therefore much more durable—ideal for heavily used surfaces. Both hard and dense, customers find that porcelain is not only resistant to scratching, but also to staining and yellowing over time. Affordable, low-maintenance, environmentally friendly, and versatile are all ways we describe this material. Porcelain can be cleaned with just soap and water, resists harsh chemicals, and can be manufactured to look like stone, cement, wood, or even to match specific colors and patterns. One of the best options for flooring, countertops, showers, walls, outdoor areas, and fireplaces, porcelain is extremely popular, and we have the best selection in the metroplex!
Quartzite
Tougher than granite with the appearance of marble, natural quartzite provides customers the best of both worlds: durability and beauty. Our natural quartzite collection includes various color options, all of which are resistant to scratches, stains, etching, and cracking. Unlike manufactured stones, no one slab of quartzite is the same; each one is uniquely veined, allowing customers to select the distinct color variations and striations of their choosing. As if these qualities weren’t enough, natural quartzite requires little to no maintenance at all—perfect for kitchen and bathroom countertops.
Marble
There’s a reason marble has been a sign of luxury throughout history: This crisp, clean material is 100% natural and the perfect way to elevate the style of any space and maintain a sense of simplicity. Marble is easy to clean, water-resistant when properly sealed, and an excellent option for those looking to install standard as well as heated flooring. But that’s not all! Marble slab and tile are stunning as a medium for various surfaces: bathrooms, countertops, backsplashes, fireplace hearths, walls, and more.
Dolomite
Dolomite, a rock formed when magnesium-rich limestone is altered by groundwater, is found in basins all over the world. Similar in appearance to marble and comparable to limestone in composition, dolomite is a beautiful alternative for countertops in kitchens, baths, and other areas of the home. While predominantly found in gray, white, and always with a pearly shine, the distinct streaks and tints characteristic of dolomite make each slab one-of-a-kind, offering customers variety. Dolomite is perfect for family homes, as it has a high resistance to scratching and can withstand years of wear and tear, especially when properly sealed. What’s more, this stone can handle more heat than most, and its less porous and strong surfacing makes etching rare. Our customers rave about dolomite for these reasons and so many more, including its price!
Onyx
Onyx is a soft, calcium-based stone that comes in a range of colorations. Its remarkable veining and contrasting colors make it a marvelous sight to see, especially when used as countertops and the primary stone in bathroom designs. Rare and unique, the stone reflects light, creating a glow that cannot be produced by similar stones and is translucent, meaning it can be backlit as well. Because onyx can be found in many colors (including purples, golds, greens, pinks, etc.), it is often utilized in settings where a surface, such as an island, serves as an accent piece to pull the room together. Customers looking to up the artistry of their home choose onyx, and they’re never unsatisfied!
Granite
Granite is one of the most popular natural stones on the market. It is quarried in the countries of China, India, and Brazil comprises approximately 2/3 of the granite used worldwide. Its inherent strength, abrasion resistance, and superior weathering durability are likely to keep it one of the preeminent stone material selections available. Offered in a striking array of colors, granite’s durability, longevity, and economy make it ideal for kitchen countertops and other heavily used surfaces, including tabletops and floors.
Engineered Quartz
Quartz is beloved by builders and designers everywhere, and it’s no wonder: Sleek, strong, and sustainable, this stone is as gorgeous as it is functional. This manmade stone not only offers a clean, voguish look, but when it comes to actual surface cleaning, it’s as low-maintenance as they come. Because quartz is non-porous, it won’t harbor viruses or bacteria like granite or similar stones. And, since it’s stain-resistant, customers are able to spend more time enjoying their quartz than scrubbing it—which isn’t the case for many stones on the market today. For all-around quality, our lovely line of Forever Quartz will not let you down.
Engineered Marble
Engineered marble, also called faux or artificial marble, is man-made and environmentally friendly, consisting of 75-90% marble dust and fragments. Unlike real marble, engineered marble is less pervious to moisture (preventing the growth of bacteria and mildew) and more resistant to stains and scratches. Whereas every slab of natural marble is unique, engineered marble is favored by many of our customers for its consistent veining pattern and shade. Not to mention, because this material is manufactured according to preference, customers are given more say in the design process, and who doesn’t want that?
