Founded in 1967, TACA is a non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas, with a mission to support and promote the performing arts in North Texas by providing funding, resources, and leadership to arts organizations and artists. TACA accomplishes its mission by raising money through corporate and individual donations and distributing grants to local performing arts groups. In addition to providing financial support, TACA also offers professional development programs, marketing assistance, and other resources to help arts organizations grow and thrive. The organization is widely recognized as a leading advocate for the arts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and has been instrumental in promoting cultural diversity, community engagement, and artistic excellence.
Catalyst Grant
TACA’s Catalyst Grant program is a cornerstone of its mission to strengthen the vibrant arts community in Dallas County. The program provides unrestricted funding to high-performing nonprofit arts organizations, serving as a catalyst for growth and innovation in the local arts scene.
We are pleased to announce that Texas Counter Fitters is proud to sponsor the upcoming Meet the Catalyst event on March 2nd in the Dallas Design District. This event provides a unique opportunity to connect with one of TACA’s Catalyst Grant recipients, the Dallas Center for Photography (DCP). During the event, attendees will have the chance to explore DCP’s darkroom, experience a Camera Obscura (the ancestor of the modern camera), and enjoy a special one-night-only re-mounting of DCP’s 2021 Photography and Dance Exhibition, which received a TACA Pop-Up Grant in July 2021. We hope you’ll join us for this exciting event and support the important work of TACA and its grantees in strengthening the arts community in Dallas.
