TCF teams with nonprofit strategist Diana Einstein to optimize its community outreach.
Giving back to the community has always been an integral part of Texas Counter Fitters’ DNA. But this fall, co-owners Chris Blackburn and Andrew Gilbert are kicking it up a notch. They recently enlisted non-profit strategist Diana Einstein to help TCF deepen their social impact initiatives.
Her newly launched company, Dynamic Waves Consulting, connects clients with causes. “Nonprofits are the heart of our community. I partner with businesses to match their purpose with passion, while having a positive influence directly in our local neighborhoods,” says Diana.
“Modern consumers want to know that the businesses they support are giving back to the community.”
The first step: identifying areas that resonate deeply. For Chris and Andrew, they fall into four categories: art, education, the environment, and humanitarian causes benefiting families. “I wanted to guide them to sponsorships that would change people’s lives,” says Diana.
Current initiatives include:
The organization: Dallas Art Therapy, a Richardson-based non-profit providing art therapy services for the underserved in North Texas.
The give: In conjunction with Rocktoberfest 2024, TCF will provide funds for additional staffing, including a start-up group for non-verbal autistic children.
The organization: John Bunker Sands Wetland Center, a nature center, educational destination for teachers, birder’s paradise and photographer’s dream located on the East Fork of the Trinity River. Their mission is multifaceted: to educate the public about water, wetlands, and wildlife and to provide clean water to millions of North Texas residents.
The give: Sponsorship of WOW – Wings Over the Wetlands – slated for Saturday, November 16.
The organization: Providing complete home interiors, Dwell with Dignity’s mission is to help families and communities escape poverty, homelessness, and social injustice through design.
The give: In addition to hosting the spring art event, TCF is going to sponsor a community project: the library at the DISD Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy.
“They’re transforming the entire space, which not only serves as a library, but a computer lab, training and study area, counselor’s office, and food pantry,” says Diana.
The organization: For over 80 years, Broadway Dallas has delivered shows to its diverse, multi-generational audiences. Its mission: To share the “Spirit of Broadway” with members of our community who might not otherwise have access to our world-class productions.
The give: TCF is among the supporters helping 3400 Dallas Independent School District students receive an eight-session curriculum plus the opportunity to see a Broadway show. For 91% of students, it will be their first live theater experience.
The organization: TACA, the Arts Community Alliance, supports excellence and impact in the arts through grant-making, capacity building, and thoughtful leadership.
By providing much-needed resources, like professional development workshops, it allows arts organizations to spend more time on running effective programs that transform lives through the arts.
The give: TCF is sponsoring Perforum, an annual community-wide arts symposium designed to advance a collective vision for what a thriving arts and cultural community can look like for Dallas and North Texas.
The organization: Good Samaritans of Garland, known locally as “Good Sam,” providing supplemental food assistance to hungry and food-insecure neighbors.
The give: For the second year in a row, TCF was a matching donor on North Texas Giving Day.
